Student Committee Meeting

Unexpected much grad-students attended the Student Committee Meeting of SWS. Minjeong Kim, the Committee chairwoman (on the photo with Jodi) was very welcoming, and also encouraged students to particpate in regular committees of SWS. We will definitly have an active mailserv for exchanging our work, getting feedback, or just a quick proof read! Awesome!

First impressions of Vegas...

Just arrived & Networking starts!

First Day of the Wintermeeting, just arrived in Las Vegas, and the networking starts! We were so happy to meet our incoming faculty member Sarah Swider at the conference, and spend many chatting, debating, and laughing with her. Jodi also met former students (now professors) from the Univerity of Akron.

First Work Meeting in Akron

First work meeting of SWS Akron and Kent in the Newman Library! Many of us did not forget to wear red, since February 1st is kick off fot the American heart month, and national wear red day in support for women's health. What feminist fun we decided at the meeting, you see on this blog!

SWS AKRON AND KENT: STRONG TOGETHER!

The new year started with a new plan: The SWS-chapters of Kent and Akron decided in a kick off meeting to work together more closely! A humongous list of ideas came up at our first meeting this year - stay tuned! Thanks to Kelly Mc Arthur for hosting the meeting!
